Flyers about LIP

Flyers about LIP

This is meant to be the first and most general one of a family of flyers on more specific topics: the different research areas or research lines at LIP; advanced training at LIP, etc. Please have a look, comments and suggestions are most welcome!

Updating the research group info on the LIP website

The texts introducing the research groups, competence centers or infrastructures in the LIP website are an important visiting card. They should be concise and understandable by those who visit us. This is particularly important in view of the ongoing evaluation of the research units.

Please remember these texts can be updated directly in the LIP database.

Calls and Opportunities

  • MSCA-IF-2018: Individual Fellowships  [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 12 September 2018

Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to researchers of any nationality to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in Europe (EU Member States and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries) and beyond.

  • H2020 Euratom Specific calls - NFRP-2018-4: Improved nuclear data for energy and non-energy modelling applications [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 27 September 2018

The combination of advanced simulation models and more accurate nuclear data will allow optimising the use of and need for experimental and demonstration facilities in energy and non-energy applications such as the design improvement, optimisation of waste management and geological disposal, and support to a multidisciplinary approach in radiation protection.

  • H2020 Euratom Specific calls - NFRO-2018-8 Radiation protection research [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 27 September 2018

  • ATTRACT: From open science to open innovation [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline 31st October 2018

To bridge the gap between basic research and real market needs, ATTRACT is calling for researchers, entrepreneurs and companies to bring forward breakthrough projects on pioneering imaging and sensor technologies. The ATTRACT Project will fund 170 breakthrough technology concepts in the domain of detection and imaging technologies across Europe. The projects will be awarded €17 million in funding – €100,000 each in seed funding to carry out their idea.

  • H2020-WIDESPREAD-2018-2020 : Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation  [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 15 November 2018

The ERA Chairs actions will support universities or research organisations with the objective of attracting and maintaining high quality human resources under the direction of an outstanding researcher and research manager (the "ERA Chair holder") and in parallel implement structural changes to achieve excellence on a sustainable basis.

  • COST actions  [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 29 November 2018

COST is an EU-funded programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. It provides funds for organising conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges or other networking activities in a wide range of scientific topics.

  • MSCA-ITN-2019: Innovative Training Networks  [Project Call][EU]
    Deadline: 15 January 2019

ITN supports competitively selected joint research training and/or doctoral programmes, implemented by partnerships of universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from different countries across Europe and beyond.

ATLAS picnic

LIP’s story’s are made of more than work alone. Last weekend, people from the Lisbon ATLAS group met at Lagoa de Albufeira for a picnic. Sun, great food, a fantastic place and good company!
