The Museum and the surrounding area

The SNO+ meeting will take place in the Museum of Science of the University of Lisbon (marked 1 in the map). The present building is a 19th century construction, but other educational institutions have preceded it since the 17th century. Even if it is well within "Old Lisbon", subway is quite close (the Rato station in the yellow line is marked 2 on the map). The Hotel Amazonia is about 750 m away (marked 3 on the map).

Restaurants

Areas where several nearby restaurants can be found are marked in blue:

4. Rua da Escola Politecnica. Close to the subway:
- Real Fabrica. Traditional portuguese, a bit "bistrot" style.
- There's a japanese restaurant just next door, but it's supposedly not good at all...
- My Deli. Pizzas/Pastas/Salads, etc. Just for a quick bite.

5. Rua do Monte Olivete. Just opposite the museum
- Comida de Urso. Portuguese/Spanish.
- Magia dos sabores. Fusion/international. Good food in a nice place with a patio in the back. Sometimes live music.

6. Praça das Flores. Nice small square with many options where you can eat outside.

7. Rua da Alegria and close by.
- Bengal Tandoori. Indian
- Jardim dos sentidos. Vegetarian.
- Chafariz do Vinho. Wine bar. http://www.chafarizdovinho.com/en/index.htm
- Os Goliardos. Wine Bar. http://osgoliardos.com/en/the-wine-cellar-bar/

8. Bairro Alto. This is the bohemian borough of Lisbon, so the options are countless... But here are two recomendations:
- Sinal Vermelho. (Rua das Gaveas, 89). Portuguese.
- Bota Alta (Travessa da Queimada, 35). Portuguese.
