LIP :: Braga - Coimbra - Lisboa

 

LIP Internship Program is a LIP summer program for Physics and Engineering students.

The internships last between two weeks and two months.

To consult all the proposed themes for this year's edition, access the "Projects" area.

The program includes a week of introductory lectures on Particle and Astroparticle Physics, detectors and experimental methods, and tutorial sessions on the use of computer tools in data analysis, in July.

All the agendas and materials will be available at the "Agenda and Materials" platform.

The program ends with a workshop where each intern contributes a summary presentation of their work in September.

Registration can be done in the "Registration" area.

Final Workshop

The presentations by the LIP Internship Program Students, summarizing the research work performed over the summer at LIP, take place on the Final Workshop, September 10 and 11th. The agenda and zoom connection will be available from https://indico.lip.pt/event/717/

Lectures and Tutorials Week

From monday to friday, 13th to 17th July, we will have the common Lectures and Tutorials, that we hope you will all join on zoom! It includes two morning lectures, followed by time for discussion in smaller groups, and tutorials on some of our common tools in the afternoon.

Register to open vacancies in projects

The 1st phase of the registration is closed, but we still have some projects available for you to apply for, so go to the "Projects Phase 2" area to see the options we still have for you. If any project is of your interest, you should send an email to the project Supervisor showing your interest in participating in the LIP Internship Program.


 

Resgistration and project presentations

Registration will open in sequence, from April 15th to the end of May.


Each student can apply to a maximum of five projects.


The available projects will be presented to the candidates in three virtual sessions (see connection details for each in Agenda and Materials) :


Projects at Minho, April 17th, at 2 pm
Note: Registration for internships at LIP-Minho will close on Aprl 24th.

Projects in Coimbra, April 23th, at 2 pm
Note: Priority will be given to students that have already applied through the Coimbra University.


Projects in Lisboa, April 29th, at 2 pm
Note: LIP-Lisbon projects will be announced on April 27th.
