BigHPC project webinar series comes to a perfect end

Catarina FG | 11 Maio, 2023

"The session "Three years contributing to improving Big Data Applications "support" in HPC" is scheduled for May 18, early afternoon, and there's a member of LIP among the panel!"

The Big HPC project is coming to an end and, with it, the webinar series “Towards a new generation of Big Data & HPC applications” also comes to an end.

The last session, to be held on May 18, at 3:00 pm (GMT+1), will present the work that has been done during the three years of the project, showing what has been produced and the advantages of using the BigHPC platform for the execution of large-scale computing jobs.

Entitled “Three years contributing to improving Big Data Applications “support” in HPC”, the webinar will be conducted by Bruno Antunes, researcher and programmer of Wavesys products at Wavecom, and João Paulo, guest professor and assistant researcher at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) and the University of Minho, by Samuel Bernardo, software engineer at the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) and, finally, by John Cazes, director of the High Performance Computing group at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). It will be moderated by Ricardo Macedo, researcher at HASLab INESC TEC.

LIP was responsible for coordinating the task of integrating all the aspects that have been worked on by other groups - such as storage, monitoring, virtualization, and optimization of data access operations.

Registration can be made through this link.
