Portugal-CERN PhD Grant Program
"Students interested in applying for one of the nine PhD grants available in the 6th edition of the Portugal-CERN program can do so from December 14 to January 27."
The "Portugal-CERN PhD Grants Program" is about to open the student call of its 6th edition. The applications period begins on December 14 - one day before the end of the period for supervisors to submit thesis proposals - and runs until January 27 at 17h00. This grant program is part of the IDPASC Doctoral Program in Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology
This edition focuses on two main areas: Particle Physics and Astroparticle Physics, as well as related areas; Technologies Associated with the Portuguese participation at CERN. In total there are nine PhD scholarships to be awarded. Two of them are intended in priority for the second of the areas mentioned (Technologies) provided that the candidates are evaluated with a grade of 3.8 or higher.
The grants will be awarded to candidates who meet the requirements to enter a PhD study program at a Portuguese university and wish to develop research in high energy physics or related areas having as host institution LIP or any national R&D center that has a protocol with LIP under the PT-CERN grant program.
