Abstract submission (extended deadline: April 15, 2000)

There are new items on this page - please check

The paper selection for the meeting will be made on the basis of an extended abstract (maximum 2-pages and 1000 words). Extended abstracts should describe the purpose and scope of the work, contribution to the state-of-the-art, methods used, essential results already obtained, results to be included in the final version of the paper, conclusions and supporting figures and references where appropriate. Abstracts failing to meet these requirements may be rejected without technical review.

Any paper that has been or will be presented or published elsewhere will not be considered. Authors should state clearly the differences between the work being submitted and previous work, to avoid any misjudgement from the reviewers concerning originality.

The extended abstract must include:

- The title of the paper,
- The name, address, affiliation, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address of all authors (in case of multiple authors, clearly indicate which author should receive correspondence),
- A maximum of three topics that you believe best fit the subject of the paper (please refer to the list of topics in the page "Conference Topics" at the Web site or provide your own topics and keywords),
- The abstract section (describing the purpose and scope of the work, contribution to the state-of-the-art, methods used, essential results already obtained, results to be included in the final version of the paper, conclusions and supporting figures and references where appropriate).

The extended abstracts should be submitted using standard LaTeX2e and the Springer LaTeX stylefiles to guarantee a homogeneous and high-quality layout. For the authors, we have a sample tex-file abst.tex. In order to be able to run this file make sure you have all the necessary styles files (click on the underlined file names to download the files):

svmult.cls
subeqnar.sty
physprbb.sty

If you are not familiar with Latex you  some useful informations in our new LaTeX-FAQ page.

Authors wishing to submit final versions of their work (maximum 8 pages) instead of extended abstracts may do so.

All extended abstracts or full papers will be reviewed on the basis of originality, technical quality, style and clarity of presentation and importance to the field, among other criteria. Authors will have access to the referees evaluation form, which may include comments and instructions to follow when preparing the final version of their papers.
