A shuttle bus departs from the arrival terminal every 20 min, starting at 7:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. Tickets are purchased from the driver and are valid for the whole day for any trip on the bus, tram and elevator network (subway is excluded).
The shuttle stop at Campo Pequeno is at less than 5min walking distance from the Hotels (except for Hotel Roma). To get to Hotel Roma you should get off at Entrecampos stop and take bus number 27 at the corner of Av. Estados Unidos da America. Remember the ticket is still valid!
If you drive your own car or a rented car, be aware that driving in Lisbon can be very puzzling. Traffic is heavy and parking is a problem. The Airport is very close to down town and the subway rather safe. Last but not least taxis are cheap.
We have pre-reserved about 200 rooms at special fares in several Hotels of two price categories. To account for early arrivals and late departures, this preliminary reservation comprises both weekends before and after the workshop: hence from Friday 8 until Sunday 17 September.
In order to avoid any confusion, final reservations must be made directly to the Hotels by the participants. The number of pre-reserved rooms is not guaranteed after July 30. Furthermore, early reservation is advised.
By 30 July, all participants must give the Hotel of their choice the following information:
One night will be billed and the reservation canceled if the customer does not show up on the first night.
Departure time is usually 12 a.m.. Late departure may imply an extra fare. The shown rates include all taxes and buffet breakfast:

Nice seashore and beaches are at a 50Km range from Lisbon, if you rent a car for the weekend. In case you plan to stay longer, you can drive south along Alentejo and enjoy its beauty and historical places like Evora and Beja.
Reaching the more touristic Algarve region, entertainment, animation and nice people are waiting for you. If you are an adept of the countryside, it is better to go to north.
You can also go a bit further and fly to the Azores where you can find interesting green and volcanic landscapes, beaches and scuba- diving spots not yet invaded by tourism, especially in the smallest isolated islands. Halfway to Azores, Madeira is a more tourist but beautiful island.
