Particles4Health is a dedicated research group at LIP focused on advancing radiotherapy applications through cutting-edge technology, precision instrumentation, and collaborative science.
Our mission is to develop and optimize tools that enhance cancer treatment by translating knowledge from Particle Physics into real-world healthcare solutions.
Our Focus Areas
BoneOscopy
Pioneering live-cell spectroscopy to estimate calcium concentration during proton treatments, contributing to more effective and personalized bone cancer therapy. This project is supported by an EIC Grant of 3.4 million euros.
FLASHGuard Project
A breakthrough detector to monitor ultra-fast FLASH radiotherapy beams, improving patient safety and precision in cancer treatments, with a patent application currently under review.
PicoMonitoring
Developing particle detection systems using ultra-fast LGAD technology with sub-nanosecond resolution for accurate beam control.
