RADEM data from ESA’s JUICE mission now publicly available
"Raw data from the RADEM radiation monitor is now accessible on ESA’s Planetary Science Archive - a major milestone for the JUICE mission."
The ESA mission JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer) has reached a new milestone with the public release of raw data from the RADEM radiation monitor, developed and operated with strong participation from LIP.
As of July 31st, this data is available to the entire scientific community and the general public through the Planetary Science Archive (PSA), here.
RADEM is the first JUICE instrument to release peer-reviewed data to the public, marking a significant step in the mission’s engagement with the scientific community and the wider public.
This achievement is the result of a joint effort between the JUICE downlink and archiving teams, and LIP members Marco Pinto, Luísa Arruda, Patrícia Gonçalves, and Francisca Santos, who are directly involved in the RADEM system.
The next goal? The release of calibrated data, planned for early 2026, further reinforcing RADEM’s critical role in monitoring the space radiation environment throughout the mission.
