AHEAD2020 Funded
"The continuation of the European project AHEAD2020 has been funded, and LIP remains involved"
The European project AHEAD2020 has been funded to continue, under the H2020 Integrating Activities for Advanced Communities competition. LIP will participate in the Work Package dedicated to the construction and testing of a demonstrator of a high-energy astrophysics detector designed for nano-satellite constellations, called COMCUBE: "COMpton CUBE".
AHEAD (Integrated Activities in the High Energy Astrophysics Domain) is an ongoing project first approved for 2015-2019in the framework of the European Horizon 2020 program (Research Infrastructures for High Energy Astrophysics), and in which LIP has been involved in a continuous way. The overall objective of AHEAD is to integrate national efforts in high-energy Astrophysics and to promote the domain at the European level, to keep its community at the cutting edge of science and technology and ensure that space observatories for high-energy astrophysics are at the state of the art.
