In some ED models, new phenomenology is predicted at the TeV scale, which is experimentally very interesting in the context of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which will cover the range from 100 GeV to few TeV. In this seminar, we present an overview of the existing ED models and the sensitivity of the LHC experiments to some of them. Given the upcoming first Physics Run of the LHC, we focus on searches with early data at the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
