------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Speaker: Gaia Lanfranchi, CERN/INFN Frascati National Laboratories ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Title: "Tests of the Standard Model in rare decays at the Large Hadron Collider" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Abstract: The rare decays Bs->mumu and Bd->mumu provide an excellent test of the mechanism of the quark-flavor mixing and constitute powerful probes in the search for deviations from the Standard Model, especially in models with non-standard Higgs sectors. Searches performed by the ATLAS, CDF, CMS and LHCb experiments in the last two years pinned down the upper limits on these branching fractions by more than one order of magnitude with respect to previous searches, reaching almost the Standard Model value for the Bs->mumu mode. I will present the current status with special emphasis on the latest results obtained at the LHC with the data collected in 2012. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
