Title: "Study of ttbar dilepton and single top events with the CMS detector"

Abstract:

This talk discusses the strategies and prospects in CMS for the early observation of the ttbar process using 
the dileptonic signatures, and of the electroweak single top production in the t-channel and W-associated modes.
Emphasis will be given on how to disentangle the cross-contaminations between these different channels, 
and on data-driven methods to estimate their common backgrounds.
