From LISBON AIRPORT to the Hotels

The place of the conference and the hotels are near the center of Lisbon, about 20min from the airport (by car).

People arriving at the Lisbon airport can reach the hotels by Bus or by Taxi (this last option is faster and easier). The Bus costs 160 escudos and the Taxi should cost no more than 1500 escudos. To go to the hotels by bus you have the following options:

• Pensao Astoria: Take bus number 22 and exit at Av. Duque de Loule. Pensao Astoria is about 5min walking distance from the bus stop, but the region is confused and the traffic is very intense. To avoid the traffic, in the same bus stop you can take bus number 20 that stops in the street Rua Braamcamp, in front of the hotel.
  
  
• Hotel Amazonia: Buses are not recommended. The slope of the region make life difficult when travelling with bags and the location of the hotel is not easy to find the first time you go there. Anyway you can take bus number 22, exit at Av. Duque de Loule and then in the same bus stop take bus number 20, leaving it in Rato, at a walking distance from the hotel of about 5min.
  
  
• Aparthotel Orion Eden: You can take the bus number 44, 45 or 91. These buses stop in the Restauradores, practically in front of the hotel.

The ticket can be bought from the driver. You have to buy a new ticket always you enter in a different bus. For more information about the transport titles and prices click here.

REGISTRATION at the Museum of Science of the University of Lisbon

The walking distance from the hotels to the museum is about 15 to 20min. You can see directions in the Downtwon Map.

PARKING in the area of the Museum of Science

Parking in the area of the Museum of Science of the University of Lisbon is very difficult, practically almost impossible. If you have a car in Lisbon we do not recommend at all that you go to the area by car.
