LIP the
Portuguese High Energy Physics research laboratory is a non funded
member of the European Union project DATAGRID. LIP is also member of the DATAGRID Industry and Research forum.
"DataGrid" objective is to enable next generation scientific exploration which requires intensive computation and analysis of shared large-scale databases, from hundreds of TeraBytes to PetaBytes, across widely distributed scientific communities using grid technologies.
