WP4 is subdivided in five tasks:

4.0 Testbed coordination and management, 

4.1 Testbed set-up and incremental evolution, 

4.2 Integration with DataGrid, 

4.3 Infrastructure Support, 

4.4 Verification and Quality Control (task 4.4 web site).

• Participate in the assessment of the hardware and network components available for the testbed.
• Participate in the definition of CrossGrid testbed requirements.
• Participate in the definition of middleware and hardware to be used.
• Deploy and maintain the LIP CrossGrid infrastructure.
  • Grid site infrastructure.
  • Certification authority infrastructure. 
• Provide central Grid services:
  • Central services for test activities.
  • Interim central services for the production and development testbeds.
• Participation in the CrossGrid teams:
  • Middleware integration team.
  • Certification authorities work group.

• Follow DataGrid developments in order to:
  • Not duplicate work done in the DataGrid context.
  • Reuse modules already developed.
• Follow DataGrid WP7 network activities with a special focus on network monitoring.
• Follow DataGrid WP6 testbed activities.
• Participation in the DataGrid certification authorities task force.
• Participation in the DataGrid test team activities.

• Study network and Grid monitoring issues.
• Provide an interim Grid monitoring system.
• Participate in the QoS working group.
• Participate in the Helpdesk support activities.

LIP is the main responsible for the test, verification and evaluation of the testbed middleware. In the context of these activities LIP will setup a second separated testbed site dedicated to middleware test and validation. 

• Specification of the test and validation procedure.
• Specification of the test and validation testbed architecture.
• Deployment and maintenance of a test and validation testbed:
  • Deployment and maintenance of the main site at LIP, including all the required central Grid services.
  • Coordination of the testbed sites at other locations.
• Coordination of the test activities:
  • Coordination of CrossGrid test activities.
  • Coordination of common test activities with DataGrid.
• Development of scripts for:
  • Automation of middleware tests.
  • Verification of site installation and configuration.
