Poster Session

 


The list of the 3 best posters:

  1. Dennis Klingebiel (RWTH Aachen): "Measurement of the t-channel single top quark production cross section at 7TeV using a multivariate analysis">

  2. Francesco Costanza (DESY): "SUSY Physics Studies for the HCAL Upgrade TDR"

  3. Katarzyna Romanowska-Rybinska ( Soltan Institute, Warsaw): "Search for Long-Lived Massive Charged Particles at CMS"


 

 

As in previous editions of the external CMS Week, there will be a "Poster Session" in the Lisbon meeting.
The posters are intended to present work in CMS where young researchers had a major role.  Posters in all CMS areas are accepted:

  • detector studies
  • technical developments
  • trigger
  • computing
  • offline and PPD
  • object identification
  • analysis methods
  • physics results
  • upgrade developments

 

Awards will be given to the three best posters selected by a dedicated scientific committee. The winning posters and presenters will be announced during the conference dinner.

If requested posters will be subject to the normal CMS approval procedures in order to qualify the posters for external presentation.

In case you are interested to present a poster please do the following:

a) "send an e-mail to" "cmsweek2012-posters@lip.pt" with an expression of interest providing the following information:

  • Presenter name + affiliation
  • Contact Email
  • Title of the poster
  • Request for CMS approval with indication of where the poster will be presented (if wanted)

 

b) "register your poster in CINCO", adding poster title and abstract:

(use the menu Presentations/Add New Talk or Poster)
Upload the poster pdf or ppt file in CINCO before September 3.

 

Poster contributors that will register now to the CMS Week will be charged with the "early registration fee".

"In case you cannot attend the meeting physically" and still want to present a poster, please ensure that someone will display your poster as of the first day of the meeting.
Additionally, please provide the email address of that person.

"Additional guidance:"

  • The posters should be A0 or A1 in size;
  • The posters should go up before Monday 3 Sep, 18:00, so that the jury has ample time to evaluate them;
  • The posters will be displayed all week;
  • Requests for poster printing will not be accepted at any stage of the process.
