FIC.A 2021
"LIP and CERN have been in the first edition of the FIC.A International Science Festival, from 12th to 17th October in Oeiras"
For six days, in the gardens of the palace of the marquis of Pombal (also count of Oeiras), one could play proton football, dance on the Higgs field, discuss with LIP scientists — about particle physics and also about its applications, in particular proton cancer therapy. The large number of visits from schools of all levels of education stands out. During the weekend, the most adult audience and families predominated.
We would like to thank all the visitors, and also the LIP members who volunteered to collaborate as guides! This was the first edition of the festival. The organization is already thinking about the next edition, and certainly about the aspects to improve until then.
