Ciência Viva internships at LIP 2021
"For two weeks eight secondary school students participated in a variety of activities related to LIP's research areas"
The proposed activities ranged from lectures on various topics to the construction of simple detectors to observe particle tracks, or the analysis of real data from several experiments, from the Pierre Auger Observatory to the LHC. The supervisors were Sofia Andringa, Pedro Abreu and Luís Afonso.
The photo shows the posters prepared by the students, starting from a particle physics game and some of the proposed activities. The eight 2021 participants were: Beatriz Tavares, David Mendonça, Joana Pinto, Joana Yao, Lucas Costa, Maria Ribeiro dos Santos, Max Mazyar and Pedro Nobre.
