PhD thesis defense
"Emanuel Gouveia has just defended his PhD thesis at the University of Minho. The work was carried out within the MAP-Fis Doctoral Program and LIP's participation in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Congratulations!"
Emanuel's PhD thesis entitled ”Probing the CP nature of the Higgs coupling to top quarks with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC” was presented today at the University of Minho and approved with the highest classification.
The research work was carried out at LIP in the framework of the participation in the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s LHC. The supervisors were António Onofre and Ricardo Gonçalo.
Since the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, the detailed study of its properties has been one of the main objectives of the LHC experiments. Emanuel's work was dedicated to the Higgs interaction with the heaviest of quarks, a very important piece of the puzzle!
Congratulations Emanuel, and all the best for the future!
