ICRC 2021
"The 37th edition of the ICRC, the largest astroparticle physics conference, is taking place online and has the participation of LIP researchers"
The International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC), foreseen to happen in Berlin, is taking place online from the 12th to the 23rd of July 2021. The ICRC conference series has been organised biennially since 1947 and is the largest conference on astroparticle physics.
The main topics are cosmic ray physics, gamma-ray astronomy, neutrino astronomy & neutrino physics, dark matter physics and solar and heliospheric physics. Additional new topics in the 2021 conference are multi-messenger astronomy and outreach & education.
LIP members Ruben Conceição and Giovanni La Mura delivered an oral talk an two posters on gamma-ray physics. LIP researchers also authored a number of other contributions namely in the framework of the AMS, Auger and SWGO collaborations.
- Ruben Conceição, “New methods to reconstruct Xmax and the energy of gamma-ray air showers with high accuracy in large wide-field observatories” (oral presentation)
- Giovanni La Mura, “Monitoring Gamma-Ray Burst VHE emission with the Southern Wide-field-of-view Gamma-ray Observatory” (poster)
- Ruben Conceição, "Gamma/hadron discrimination using a small-WCD with four PMTs” (poster)
